Job Description

  • Coordinates date roll and audit functions according to schedule to minimize interruption in hotel operations.  Verifies any discrepancies between room rate schedules and actual room revenue.  Coordinates posting and balancing of room revenue in a timely manner.  Processes specific audit reports. 
  • Reconciles and audits group master accounts upon group departure:  verification of rates, functions and other charges against prospectus sheets issued by the Sales Department.
  • Verifies and balances individual Guest Service Representatives work against the cashier balance reports.
  • Corrects any items incorrectly posted to guest accounts.
  • Verifies that all arrivals, departures, and sharewiths are at zero at the time of posting room and tax.
  • Posts room and tax; balancing of room and tax against Room Verification Report.
  • Submits date roll function/night audit function according to schedule.
  • Processes accounts on Over Credit Limit Report according to procedure.
  • Distributes specific audit reports as designated.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

Required : 
  • At least 1 year hotel night audit experience.
  • At least 2 years front desk experience.
  • Basic knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Working knowledge of PC computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Reader or equivalent).
  • Basic understanding of accounting practices and theories.
  • Operate business equipment such as telephone, photo copiers, fax machines, calculator, personal computer, ability to efficiently operate at 10-key.
  • Basic math skills and organization skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting established deadlines.
  • Must possess the manual dexterity to access the computer via computer keyboard, be seated before a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Work indoors in a fast-paced, busy environment and have ability to bend and reach into cabinets to file department documents and the mobility to transport files to other areas.
  • Lift and move boxes, etc., weighing up to 20 pounds to load computer paper as well as the storage and retrieval of documents.
  • Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.
 Preferred : 
  • Previous experience working in a luxury or similar resort
